Privacy policy for the Formassets extension
This policy covers the Chrome extension "Formassets: Resize Photo & PDF to KB", published by Acefina. The formassets.com website has its own policy.

Your files stay on your device
Every photo, signature and PDF you choose is resized, compressed and saved inside your browser. The extension does not upload your files, does not send them to Acefina, formassets.com or anyone else, and keeps no copy after you close the page.
What the extension collects
Nothing. It has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no accounts and no remote code. It sends nothing to any server of ours, or to anyone else.
What it stores on your device
- Your last chosen size limit, so the list opens where you left it (Chrome extension storage, on this browser only).
- When you use “Resize this image for a form”, the image is held briefly in the browser’s session storage to pass it from the page to the tool. It is deleted as soon as the tool opens, and session storage is cleared when the browser closes.
Images from web pages
When you right-click an image and choose “Resize this image for a form”, the extension reads that image from the page you are on, using the temporary access Chrome gives for that click. If the site does not allow that, the tool may download the image again from the address it was shown from, which is the same request your browser made to display it. If that also fails, it asks whether it may read images from that one site; you can refuse, and you can remove the permission at any time in the extension’s details.
Permissions
- contextMenus: adds “Resize this image for a form” to the right-click menu on images.
- activeTab and scripting: read the image you right-clicked, in that tab only, when you click the menu item.
- storage: remember your last size limit and pass a right-clicked image to the tool.
- Optional site access: requested only when you ask for it, for the one site whose image you want to read.

The “More tools at formassets.com” link opens the matching page of the website in a new tab. The link carries a tag (utm_source=chrome-extension) so the website can count visits from the extension; it carries nothing about you or your files. The website’s own privacy policy applies there.
