Compress image to 30 KB
Add an image and download a JPG under 30 KB. The tool keeps your proportions and chooses the pixel size and quality, or uses the exact pixels your form asks for. In the notices we read, 30 KB is the top of CTET's signature range (3 to 30 KB) and the bottom of the Railway Recruitment Board's (30 to 49 KB), so check which end your form means.
Make a JPG under 30 KB
Nothing is uploadedWhat 30 KB holds.
More pixels than 20 KB gives. A signature photographed on a phone came down to 1140 × 570 px under 30 KB. The 20 KB page gave 931 × 465 px for the same picture, so the extra 10 KB buys about 1.5 times the pixels. An uncropped flatbed scan of a signature became 1688 × 563 px, and a landscape photograph 796 × 597 px.
A page of writing does not fit. A handwritten A4 page shrank to 285 × 403 px, where the lines run together, and a printed certificate to 724 × 512 px. 30 KB suits a signature or a small photograph, not a document. For a document use the PDF compressor or a larger image size.
30 KB is 30,000 or 30,720 bytes. A portal may count 1 KB as 1,000 or as 1,024 bytes. The tool keeps the file under 30,000 bytes, so it is under the limit either way. Your phone or Windows may show it as 28 or 29 KB.
Official notices that use 30 KB for an image
The CTET row was read in the bulletin's own file on 29 Sep 2026. The railway notice could not be reached from our network, so its row comes from an archived copy read on 25 Sep 2026.

CTET's is the December 2024 bulletin, the one we could read: ctet.nic.in did not respond from our network, so check the bulletin for your own cycle. Neither notice is an application FormAssets has a preset for, so enter the numbers yourself.

If your image looks wrong at 30 KB.
Crop the signature before you shrink it. Empty paper around a signature uses up pixels and bytes. Crop the picture so the signature nearly fills it, then run it through the tool. The signature resizer explains how to keep every stroke inside the frame.
Use exact pixels when the form gives them. If the form states a width and height in pixels, choose Exact pixels and enter them, and the tool then searches only the JPG quality. If it gives centimetres, convert them at the DPI it states, or at 200 DPI if it states none.
If the file is under your form's minimum. A file made here can come out smaller than a form's lower limit, as with the RRB signature range of 30 to 49 KB. Set a minimum in the photo resizer and it adds inert padding bytes until the file reaches it.
A document needs a bigger limit. If you are shrinking a page of text or a certificate, 30 KB is too little for it to stay readable. Use the 100 KB or 200 KB page if the form allows a file that size.
Two notices, two ends of 30 KB.
CTET: 30 KB is the top. The CTET December 2024 bulletin asks for the signature as a JPG or JPEG of 3 to 30 KB, 3.5 cm long and 1.5 cm high. It gives centimetres and no pixels. At 200 DPI that is 276 × 118 px, and at 300 DPI 413 × 177 px. The photo resizer takes centimetres with a DPI if you want an exact size.
RRB: 30 KB is the bottom. The Railway Recruitment Board's CEN 01/2026 notice asks for the signature as a JPG or JPEG of 30 to 49 KB, at least 140 × 60 pixels. A file kept under 30,000 bytes is below that range. For it, use the photo resizer with a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 49, which adds no picture detail but reaches the minimum.

Questions
How do I compress an image to 30 KB?
Add the image and select Make JPG under 30 KB. With Keep proportions the tool lowers the pixel size first and tries to hold the JPG quality at 72 out of 100 or above. The result shows the pixels, the size and the quality it used, and the file downloads straight to your device.
How can I reduce a photo to 30 KB without losing quality?
Some loss is unavoidable, but fewer pixels at a good quality usually look better than many pixels at a poor one. The landscape sample came out at 796 × 597 px and JPG quality 79 under 30 KB. Check the downloaded file before you upload it.
What is the CTET signature size?
The CTET December 2024 bulletin asks for a JPG or JPEG of 3 KB to 30 KB, 3.5 cm long and 1.5 cm high. In pixels that is about 276 × 118 at 200 DPI. The source is linked above; check your own cycle's bulletin.
Can I compress a JPG to 30 KB on my phone?
Yes. Open this page in your phone browser, choose the picture from your gallery or files, and select Make JPG. Everything runs on the phone and the picture is not uploaded. The JPG is saved to the browser's usual download location.
My form wants 30 KB to 49 KB. What do I enter?
That is a range that starts at 30 KB, as in the RRB notice linked above. Use the photo resizer in KB with a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 49; this page only keeps a file under 30 KB.
Will a signature stay clear at 30 KB?
A phone signature stayed at 1140 × 570 px and quality 75, which keeps the strokes sharp. A signature scanned with a lot of empty paper around it has fewer pixels for the ink, so crop it first.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is resized and compressed inside your browser, and there is no server copy.
Follow the current upload page.
FormAssets applies the size and pixel settings you enter and keeps the file under 30,000 bytes. It cannot judge the ink, the background or whose signature it is, or promise that a portal will accept the picture.
